Understanding the boxy fit
This sweater is intentionally oversized through the chest and shorter in the body for a cropped, boxy shape. The roomy chest is part of the design, not a reason to size down automatically. A smaller size also shortens the body and sleeves; a larger size adds length and width.
How to choose your size
- Start with your preferred length. Lay a sweater you like flat without stretching it. Measure from the shoulder beside the neckline straight down to the hem. Compare that measurement with the Length row below, rather than relying only on your usual size label.
- Match the hem position you want. Body lengths are S: 24.5 inches, M: 25.25 inches, L: 26 inches and XL: 26.75 inches. Each size adds 0.75 inch. For a similar 26-inch length, start by checking L; for 25.25 inches, start by checking M.
- Check the remaining measurements. Compare chest, shoulder, sleeve and armhole measurements with a sweater that feels comfortable, allowing for any layers you plan to wear. The chart shows garment measurements, not body measurements. Chest, bicep, bottom and cuff figures are circumferences; do not compare them directly with a flat width.
- If you are between sizes, choose the shape you prefer. The smaller size gives a shorter crop and less volume; the larger size gives more length and room. Check the full chart before deciding. Choosing by chest alone can leave the sweater shorter than you intended.
